Here's the story. My wife and I took an early spring ride Sat. afternoon (spring started at 10:30 PM). We went up into the Rocky Mountain Front. spent some time looking around and when it came time to leave, I stopped off at the comfort station for my wife. When she hopped back in the truck('05, G56) I hit the key and dropped into gear and started out of the parking area. I stepped on the accelerator and there was no increase in RPM's. It was just idling up the road. I threw it into reverse and back into the parking area. Shut off the engine and restarted it and everything was fine. It has never done that before and did not do it again that day or since. What was that about? Is the '05 a "fly by wire" throttle? Something sure hiccupped. Don't really want that to happen again while out in the mountains with no cell service. What electronic part was acting up?

It was confused, you did not hold your mouth right when you started it. :)

The throttle is all electronic, it is on the end of the accelerator pedal. Buying a spare and keeping it under the seat might not be a bad idea though they a lot more robust since it was moved inside the cab.

Sometimes it is just a random thing, and, as out trucks age it gets more random.

Thanks cerberusiam. I appreciate your knowledge of these trucks. I thought it might be that. Will be getting a spare from Geno's.
