Today replaced stock carter lift pump with fass drp replacement. Buttoned everything up and no power going to lift pump. I hot wired lift pump and got fuel to vp44 but seems like fuel isn't going through the vp44 to injectors. Only thing done today was replace pump and disconnect batteries. I have checked all fuses and relays all are good. Truck Is a 2001 3500 with 44,000 on it and ran excellent with zero issues reason for change was purely preventive maintenance not failure. Any ideas ? Gonna print off blue chip troubleshoot sheet tomorrow hoping to find the issue.. any ideas ?

Maybe that you already know this, but I will mention it anyway. When key is turned to the run position, the fuel transfer pump will run for less than two seconds. When the key is used to bump the starter (no engine start) and the key is allowed to return to the run position, the fuel transfer pump will run about twenty to thirty seconds.

Have you tried to start the engine? You didn't say in your post.

You may have air in the injector lines from changing the transfer pump. If so, you will have to bleed some injectors.

Yes I know that. I also have a mechanical fuel pressure guage and have zero pressure so I know it is more than just aor. .

Do you hear the pump running when you bump the starter? It may take many starter bumps of the starter to give full pressure back up. If you have cranked it without fuel, you will have bleed a couple/three injectors, once you have fuel pressure. SnoKing
