UTAH Dyno Day and Drag Race

Well guys and gals lets get this slow roller moving again! like to get together how does the 20th of sept. sound? Any events conflict with that? I know Piers' grand opening dyno day is the 27th. Anyway we can do a breakfast or I was thinking about talking to John and maybe set up another picnic barby, the people that went seemed to have a great time down in elk grove and the weather shouldn't be quite as hot as last time. lets hear from ya'll. Jefff

I'll have to pass, got to go back to Mass for 6 weeks or so,

Next time though.

Piers grand opening, 27th, where? BC?

I might not make it as I hope to be at the LA Truckin' For Kids in Palmdale, an awesome display of all kinds of diesel powered trucks with the big rig drags included.

Norcal Diesel's

Just making a post here to get it to show up again with a new post marker.

How about the rest of you locals? Are any of you going to be able to make it? I will cast a vote for a Bar B Que.

Anyone else?

Nor-Cal Sept. event

Jeff,

The 20th is great for me too!

If we picnic, I may have to leave a bit early, as I am working hard on getting my T. Trailer all checked out for a early October pull! (It has been in inside storage for 12 years!) Besides, my new CTD has been complaining that it needs something to drag around, as it wants to "stretch it's muscles" some more! He, He, He... Oo.

If everyone decides on the Elk Grove Park, I'll try to search for the directions I posted in this section in July. Remember there is a $4. 00 daily vehicle fee (for the new folks).

If possible I'd like to also invite my neighbor Larry. He's a super nice guy. Larry had a 1999 Ford F350 7. 3L diesel which he just traded in for a 03' F350 6. 0L diesel Ford Crew Cab. In fact we are getting together in Oct. with our T. T's to go camping. I hope he gets his new truck back from the dealer soon. It's hard to see a friend have trouble with a new truck right after they get it!

Jeff, let us know what you decide...

Come on Bill i thought you were spending your birthday with us. LOL. And Tom you to I really need to see that bumper again Layne says I'm on the list and I want to see it again before I say yes. Will send out a updated newsletter when I can write down some directions.

BTW and this goes to everyone I know we've said it before but Jon asked and we don't want anyone feeling left out, everyone is welcome even invite someone you see on the streets the more the merrier right. Jeff

what time on the 20th?

Looks like I won't make it to Palmdale due to family commitments, and those commitments are on Saturday afternoon.

Just trying to see if we can juggle everything around.

Sept. 20th NorCal Picnic: E.G. Park information/map

Hi all:

Elk Grove Regional Park Info:

1. UPDATE - GREAT NEWS, Elk Grove recently took back the operation of Elk Grove Park from Sacramento County! I'm hearing that the $4. 00 per day Use Fee is now history as of yesterday, 9/15/03!!! Isn't Local Control great! The EGCSD (the Elk Grove Parks District) will also be making major facility improvements, so by next Spring the Park will not only be free, but better than ever!

2. Here is the Park map again. http://www.egcsd.ca.gov/parks/harvest/egparkmap.pdf I was told All reserved areas are now reserved at this late date. Referring to the map, I might try to snag a spot in picnic Area 7 or 3C, however I won't really know until I get there Sat morning.

3. For any last minute picnic supplies, there are three large Grocery Stores on Elk Grove Boulevard on both sides of SR-99 and before you get to Elk Grove Florin Road (Pac-n-Save, Raley's & BelAir markets). Wal-Mart is very close too.

4. I believe most folks will shoot for about a 9 - 10 AM arrival. If you get lost Saturday AM, call my cell phone 916-812-7230. I'll try to have it on for you.
