Well, The cottage in front of us was destroyed, so we effectively have oceanfront property now. Well, I guess my dad, who we rent from, has ocean front property. Our driveway had about 3ft of sand deposited on it, which has since been piled in the yard and is being used to fill the back lot for future development. The downstairs of our cottage is a garage, and the upstairs is living space. None of the living space was touched, but the waves crashed in the garage doors and blew a hole out the back of the garage. There were oil containers, bottles, and general contents of my garage scattered over about 2 acres. There's enough lumber in the back yard from other structures to stretch from here to sacramento. I didn't lose anything important because I basically moved out of the house the day before the storm, and took all my power tools and things I couldn't stand to lose. Considering the other cottages in the area, I was lucky.
I worked this past weekend, and we still weren't allowed back in the neighborhood freely, so my truck was at my parent's house in Southern Shores.
If you want to ride by the cottage (curfew is over now) this weekend, we might be there working on it. We're the powder blue

house north of Ocean Boulevard Restaurant. My truck is a white SB, QC, 4x4. I'm you're average mid-20something white guy. Someone else may be driving the truck so I might not be there.
