CF, you think that this thing with Iraq is a personal thing with BUSH. Well it is a personal thing with me too. Saddam and his ilk has declared war on me, as an American, and I take that personnally. He has killed off entire villages with his chemical weapon experiments, and vendettas. I take that personal, as a fellow human. He helps hide terrorist factions, and that I take personal, as a peace keeper. So when you say that Bush is taking the Saddam thing personal, wellllll, so what, he should, and so should every human being who wishes to preserve the lives of those who are innocent. Too bad most liberals can only see as far as their own noses, and not the entire picture. If everyone in the U. S. felt the way you did, then we would all have stayed out of WWII and just wiped our bloody noses after Pearl Harbor. Then we would have begged for peace from Hitler and Japan. Man, I have never heard so much drivel. It amazes me there are still people on this earth that believe the world revovles around the US.



I think you need a little wake up call. The United States of America invades and exterminates thousands of men, women, and children (American Indians) in the name of "Manifest destiny". Then a hundred years later says I'm sorry?



Russia has declared war on its own people (Chechnia), exterminates, starves, and attacks them daily. We are not invading them.



The Chinese goverment has thousands of political prisoners and kills many more in the name of the party. Are we invading them?



The Kurds in Turkey have been seen just recently giving harbor to Al queda! These are the same group of peoples in Iraq that Saddams cousin gassed. It gets crazy at this point.



How do we know or think that Saddam has these weapons of mass destruction? Why is the Bush administration so eager to get Saddam? (The rest here is speculation, but based in fact) Could it be that we (The US under Regans/Bush orders) sold these weapons to him during the Iran/Iraq war? Could it be that Bush still holds a grudge because Saddam had a hit taken out on Bush Sr. ? Maybe Saddam has some dirt on the Bush/ Regan regime? Was Saddam one of the Regan/Bush administrations "Friends in low places"? We have not seen any sign of Al Queda bases in Iraq, have not seen any sign of Iraqie connection with terrorists of 9/11, and now inspecters are finding nothing. Where is this threat? Maybe no threat and we just need a little crude?



I think the police should start arresting people because they MIGHT commit a crime? Or shoot them because they think they might have a weapon.



I think the conservatives are the ones with there head in the sand, believing everything there good ole boys tell em. I could give a flying $%# what the Democrats/ liberals think. I think on my own.



Oh by the way, defending ones self from a seen foe (WW2) and invading a country because of speculation is a world apart! Not only a world apart, but against what I as an American have been taught to believe. We have never been the aggresser. And this is one of the poorest excuses I have ever heard to begin.

Do you think that you have the RIGHT to be privy to all known information about Saddam and his regiem? I am glad we dont know everything, although it would make for good watching. It seems that most of the nations feel the same as Bush. If we did know what was going on, every step of the way, then I am afraid the liberal media would find a way to make things worse.



I say we should send Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda into Bagdad, in another 30 days, for an extended pease keeping tour and show. Bombs Away!!

Gee don't you think that if there was a real connection between saddam and the al queda that the present Administration would have by now presented this to the World so everyone would be supportive on kicking the snot out of him (saddam)? Not to impugn anyone but if everyone is so all fired ready to kick butt how come there aren't lines outside of all the service recruiters offices? I'm afraid that George W. Bush suffers from the same aliment as his father, the appearance of things. It appears that George W. has a vendetta against saddam, just as George Sr. had the appearance of not caring about the sinking American economy after the Gulf war. That is what lead to his failure to win a second term and the same fate awaits George W, if he dosen't get the economy turned around. All this talk of war isn't helping one bit.

In my still asleep, caffeine deficiency state this morning I say "To heck with protecting U. S. security/economic interests in the region, problems with stability, etc, pull U. S. forces out of SK"!

I realize that 22,000 folks protesting the embassy is a small percentage of the SK population, still it's a pretty sizable.

Give them what they want, a chance to re-unite and starve with relatives locked away in NK, who they haven't seen in 50 years.



Forget the exact words, but something about people who do not cherish liberty, should not be served by it. Wake-up SK!

Democracy.

Democracy is a funny thing. The large majority of the SK people remember the war and the horrors they went through during. The protesters you see are mostly college students and people to young to remember the war. I saw a blurp on the national news about the old war veterans in the SK protesting the protesters.

Selling oil to NK?

The U. S. was not selling heavy fuel oil to NK. We were giving it to them. It was cut off because they reneged on the 1994 agreement not to develop nuclear weapons.

Have you ever been in a war? Ever kill another human being face to face? Next time you say Nukem, picture a 4 or 5 year old North Koran child and its mother. War is a concept when your not in the field of fire. I would like to see the richest most powerful nation that has ever existed, do more, than destroy another nation. I know we are better than that. I would hope we had more humanity then that.
