(Unofficial) N.E.P.A. Chapter of the TDR Springtime Meet n’ Greet.

Brian I've been around just working alot and married life kinda puts a end to alot of the playing around with toys. . I come to a conclusion on starting to build my Powerjoke since there is some putting out some nice power instead of buying a 1st Gen and starting from scratch. First thing is taking off the lift and then waiting for the transmission to blow then a BTS transmission, Bean's injectors , Big oil and probably a H2E. I WILL have another 12 valve but it is going to be in something different possibly a 78-9 Ford Crew Cab or maybe a late 60's Power Wagon Crew Cab .....

Oh Mike i doubt you can resist the urge to BOMB it I know i can't it's too tempting. . You need to get something you hate as a DD so there is no urge to modify like my Suby but then again i was knocking around the idea of a WRX STI driveline underneath it for a sleeper. .

looking for a good local shop for timing

Hey Guys, J. r. Here (new To The Group) I Need To Get The Timing Done On My Truck, Where Is A Good Place To Go In The Area?

YA! Bob I keep on telling paul to go that way his 79 ford with a nice cummins I think he is really leaning that way . . Bruce is going to be the talk with his 7. 3 he has all kinds of stuff done to his

As for Brian NOT burning out Ha Ha i'm sure he is soon to need 4 rear tires!!! I'm sure Bruce has all kinds of things that's why the pulls are not fun anymore cause of people like him and his buddies with the Dodges that compete nationally and clean house year after year at the local pulls one who i could probably pay off my mortgage for what he has invested in his truck. I remember when i was a kid going to the Harford fair with my dad and uncle and seeing almost stock trucks that work year round competing but now it's DEEP pockets win all... ... .

Welcome aboard J. R. and AM6 ! Oo.

J. R. , I don't know why I didn't think of it when we wrote, but Ashland Diesel should be able to help you out. One of the guys on here deals with them a lot. And the shop is Cummins certified. They're fairly "local".

I'd like to visit their garage one day. I'll drag my father down there so he can talk shop with the mechanics.

Here is Ashland webpage: Ashland

I know bob thats why there is all diff. classes. .

Troy, you can't keep all these places secret. I thought that you were the P7100 timing guru. How's everything going? Are we going to get together before the spring fling. It's suppose to be in the seventy's this weekend with no rain. Got to love it. Got work SAt. but anything is possible. ( like my grandma died again!!!! ) Work all around Dillsburg for the power company during storms a year or more ago. I know where is at. Maybe 2hrs from here.

ATV, I didn't forget about the ride I owe you. ;) But I'm sure you'll want to wait until I get the new clutch. I can't put all the power down right now. I had to stop using the FMS box once I bolted that big huffer on there.

Although we found out the other night that it'll still smoke four tires if I side step the clutch. Ummm... . My foot slipped ??? :-laf

Kudos to Mike for saving a 1st gen from extinction. It's a rig that was well cared for. If he didn't buy it, I would have. It purrs like a kitten.

---------------------------------------------

ttbird, the weather was great today. I can't wait for the even warmer weather this weekend. Friday I'm rebuilding my vacuum pump and replacing my power steering pump. I'll be in Scranton this Saturday for the St. Patty's day parade/bash. (I might be recovering Sunday)

----------------------------------------------

We did the valve lash on Highfinance97's rig the other night. The barring tool is definitely a nice touch. I definitely recommend it.

I have to do the lash on mine soon.
