(Unofficial) N.E.P.A. Chapter of the TDR Springtime Meet n’ Greet.

Wayne here, about 24 miles from phila. at the valley forge exit of the pike. Would enjoy meeting CTD heads, drinking a few, maybe, many beers. And talk shop and check out their rides!!!!!! Keep me in touch. :)

Hi ttbird! I always ring the ship's bell when we have a new member. I know you can hear it ringing...

Nice to have you aboard.

Do you have amber hazard light strobes?

----------- ------------ -------------- ------------ -----------

Here's a suggestion for a winter meet. How about a breakfast/lunch meet on a weekend? I assume most people can attend on a weekend. And with Christmas and New Year's falling on weekends, it looks like it will be January 7th or 8th at the soonest. How about Hazleton for a mid-way point?

Welcome aboard Master. Kinda catchy isn't it? Yes master, yes master sensai. ok I'll stop now. (It's late and the Woodchuck cider is talking, what can I say?)

Oops, I did it again. :D

Actually, it's Brian. Somehow I ended up with my email as my screen name instead of BWagner. I guess I should put my name in my sig then I wouldn't forget.

Yes master, yes master sensai..... now If I could just get my wife to say that  :D

Oh, Hazleton works for me... . just gotta check dates and such.

Master Brian it is. :-laf

I'm going to drive down to Hazleton and scope out a truck friendly place.

---------- -----------------

Scranton would be great. (I'm sure Mike would like that even better. )

I want to take that train ride sometime. And then there is the Nay Aug Zoo.

And the McDade coal mine tour. That one is great on a hot day. It's better than air conditioning.

Speaking of train rides, they have the "Train Robbery" ride on the Sourbridge Line. That would really be neat if someone didn't know what was coming. :)

Isn't that down by you Brian?

Well im game for all them. i love trains and as for the coal mine tour i go in all the abandoned mines in the area anyway i could go on that tour over and over.

(I even know how to get to the coal mine tour from another abandoed mine SSHHHH!!!!)

Michael

Mike, you HAVE to show me how to get into the mines. Everyplace that I checked out was locked up.

HParfitt, That's like asking me if I eat food. My first car was a motorcycle. Suzuki GS 550 ES. I had an XR 80. Bought it as a total basket case, restored it, then beat the tar out of it.

I bought a YZ 125 as a left-over many moons ago. I just keep rebuilding it. Bored it over, ported it, pipe, modified the reed cage, reeds, 250 clutch springs (gotta bomb it :) )

A GSXR 750 that I've taken to Daytona Bike Week a bunch of times. Does great wheelies. Busa's have the engine, but the Gixxer slays 'em in the turns.

A GS 1000 that is punched to 1080. I put a cam in that was so big I had to trim the valve cover gasket. Big carbs, wheelie bar, yadda yadda. It's an all out drag bike. I take it to Numidia to race.

Now there are some more ideas. PATDC at Numidia. I know the guys that run the place. They're wacky too.

Bike Week '06 anyone?

Almost forgot the Polaris Scrambler 4x4. My other bikes are older/slower.

What's your ride?

Booked for Bike Week '06. Sent the final payment for the condo out Wednesday. Staying in New Smyrna Beach. Try to do all the rallys. I currently have a Honda ST1300 and an R1 and a WR400 for the dirt. Been riding since 12.

Lucky you! Did you ever go to the Myrtle Beach Rally? One day I will.

But I really want to do Sturgis.

My uncle and his buddies had their bikes shipped from PA to CA and rode back.

How's that four stroke thumper in the woods?

--------- ----------- ------------- -------------- ------------ ------------

Anyone that wants a pic of their truck or toy and their name or nickname posted on the PATDC website let me know. I didn't want to post without permission. PM me or e-mail me and let me know the specifics.

Maybe the truck's specs would be a good idea too.

OMG! :-laf My ribs are hurting. That was true?? That makes it even better. I didn't remember your sig, but I remember when you posted that like it was yesterday. Prolly because I've done some doozies.

This summer I was at gas station with the truck and as usual I grabbed a Nestle Quik. I was standing in front of the cashier with it and when I looked outside and saw my truck, I just lost it. I was giggling and the cashier was looking at me.

Well, I drove to Hazleton today to check out a meeting spot. For the amount of people that may show up, it didn't look like the best choice.

So, the better choice will be the Petro's Truck Stop in Avoca. It's ideal.

It is right next to I-81. They have parking all over the place. Easy in and out.

More than enough seating area for the group.

Breakfast is available 24 hrs a day. They have a store, arcade, fast food,

internet access, etc... They of course sell diesel there.

We're still open on a meeting time. Is high noon a good choice? ?

I will be there early and late so nobody will be left out. I will be giving out a cell phone number in case someone has vehicle trouble or gets lost.

Also I will post some pics so it will be even easier to get there.

(trust me, it's easy to find)

Michael

b. ferrara,

I almost called you today. Until I found out how far you were from Stormville.

Although at the time that I was broken down, I didn't know it was you. It just had your location listed.

(I'm assuming you read of my plight by now)
