That goes for all of you lurkers out there. Stop by in January.

So, which day is better... The 7th or the 8th? Saturday or Sunday. And I suggested noon.

Is that a good time?

Oh ya, one guy that's coming from another board is bringing an Edge EZ in case someone would like to try/buy it. Save your pennies for it.

Hey Fox,

I have an 04 2500 SWB 4X4 6spd. It's white with the sport package. I also have a white leer cap on it. I live in Plainfield Township, accross from the elementary school.

HParfitt

OK I know the area, I live in Lower Nazareth on Hecktown Road.

Can't say as ive seen your truck around though, my neighbor several

houses down the road has a Black LWB Dually I thought maybe you were him.

If you have a meeting sometime around the end of December, I might be in the area visiting my folks. I'm in south central PA now, but I can claim NE PA as my birthplace and childhood home.

Knobles Grove is a good spot, camping, rides for all, cabins for those who don't feel like setting up camp, power and H2O connections, close beer spot, couple of restaurants, fun for family and friends, and as previously mentioned, not an expensive place.

One of my favorite things about Knobles is staying up late, watching the fire and listening to the big rigs interrupt the quiet as they come up and over the hill.

I'm game.

Umm... 4 pages & no one from Jersey chimes in? This sounds like the CT Seafood Challenge. Can anyone loan me their PA plates for the afternoon?

Seriously-the Knobles CG thing is a definite for us. I'm only 4 hours from Hazelton... I can be there in 3. :-laf (might bring the Quad for a little sidetrip to Paragon)

As long as work isnt calling, I am there.

Thanks for checking in Joe Mc ! Welcome to the club.

I've been going to the Grove since I was a kid. (now I'm just a big kid)

But I've never camped there. I'm up for it though.

------------------------------

WMorgan, vssman is thinking the same thing. He'll be coming in from CT around the same time. I'd be willing to meet up with you guys and anyone else that would like to hang out at the end of December.

---------------------------------

Oh, we need a name. Here are some possibles. Anyone have any suggestions?

Meet -n- Greet, Ice Cruise, Petro Palooza, Winter Welcome, Rattle in the Valley.

Hi Midlife! Come aboard! :)

I've never taken my quad to Paragon yet because they want you to have your quad registered. But I have been there to watch the rock crawling competition.

There are some nice rigs there.

Oh ya, there's an annual Mud Bog contest in the Nanticoke PA area. That's fun to watch. It's an all day event. It's a great big tailgate party. Lots of hillbillies. Anybody can enter.

Last year some drunk guy entered his bone stock imported passenger car and beat the daylights out of it. He never entered the bog, he just kept ripping around it. They had to drag him out of the car when it got stuck. They kicked him out of the event. It was great!

There are guys coming from Jersey. You might want to convoy with them. I have a thread on the DTR. Same area as on this board.

----------------------------------

I get excited when I see the list growing! Oo.

My merry band of knuckleheads (self included) have ridden Paragon many times, the last time just a few weeks back. Never any mention of any kind of registration. (

You pays your 25, you buys your little flag, you sits and watchs the "I promise to be Good" movie (1st time only), and you go's tear it up.

Looks like them boys on the DTR are from the "other" New Jersey. I'm from waaay down here.

dtroy, stormville is only 1/2 hour, you should of called. now that my youngest started school and the wifes back to work(finally earning her share)

I don't know what to do with all my free time. Scranton/Wilkes barre is only 1 and 1/2 hour away, I could do that.

1/2 hour ?? I thought you were way up north for some reason. After I had gotten a hold of the lady on the payphone, and before she could find her son, I asked about Bullville. She said it was too far away? I guess she just hadn't heard of it.

I read the names of all the towns in the Travel Companion to her and she said that they were all too far away.

Parking my rig somewhere was a big concern. I couldn't leave it there. I didn't want it broken into. And I can only imagine what an impound yard would charge to store it.

And to tow it back to PA ... ... It would be cheaper to let them keep the truck.

It was $162 just to tow it to Fishkill. :{

Well... ... ... . now I know. Thanks for the info and the offer! :)

there's truck stops all along 84 for parking. I can't think of any bad neighbor hoods, that you would have to worry. You ever breakdown, call me even if I can't come get you, I could steer you in the right direction.

I had to park it where it coasted to a stop. It wouldn't restart. I'm just glad it made it up that hill going westbound before Stormville. It was getting worse by the minute.

I didn't know what the area was like. I just remember driving into NYC all the time.

I do appreciate the offer. You never know what will happen. It was just dumb luck that I had an old copy of the Companion in my truck. Now I will make sure that there is an updated list in the truck at all times.

------------- ------------------

Speaking of which, I'm on the Travel Companion list as a contact.

If any of you don't have/carry it, you should. They just updated it in November. (the online version anyway)

-------------- ------------

Kelly4463, still on the fence about coming to Petro's?

issue 50 came last week with 06' companion edition. I have to update my amenities, I built a pole barn this spring, so I now have indoor shop. NYC ain't

that bad anymore. All the bad areas on the way up(there already) and still going. when you figure out exact meeting spot and time let us know.

Hmmm... I didn't get my issue yet.

I will post an exact day and time by the end of this week. I was trying to be as flexible as possible and give people time to post a preference.

I used to be all over NYC and Long Island all the way to Montauk. I would see broken down cars on the L. I. E. that were sitting on blocks. The B. Q. E. was worse. Not to mention that they were doing a lot of carjackings at the time, when traffic was stop and go on the expressway.

------------------

I'm hesitant to mention this because it was only suggested as a slight possibility:

If there is a lot of interest, a portable dyno MIGHT show up for the event.

It's still to be determined...

LOL I'm getting a good laugh, I guess you must of watched alot of movies

(escape from NY) (warriors) I only live in Bullville for 10 years. raised in queens, truck driver on and off for 20 years and on the FDNY for last 12 never seen a car on blocks on side of any highway. Certain areas of south bronx or east ny brooklyn but thats chop shop drop zones. I'm still laughing,

the LIE from midtown tunnel to Montauk( about 120 mile stretch) not one bad neighborhood all prime real estate especially Nassau and suffolk.

we might have to have a few trips to the big city, I miss running water and electric. HA HA

this is gonna be fun
