Northern Virginia get together/BBQ at my place

Count me in for the next few weeks. I am not going to be able to attend the BBQ. I will be in Jackson Hole extreme skiing. The Glen Burnie thing sounded great. I had to plow snow that day. Suggestion? HMM? I would say something more relative to the NJ,DEL,PA border. Maybe in New Castle Del? There is quite a bit of space and resturants and car dealerships around. Maybe a good suggestion might actually be a state rest stop. There is a nice one right off route 1 near Dover Delaware. Its scenic and has bathrooms and plenty of room for all of us. There is one right in the border in NJ. Its 2 minutes from the Del. Mem. Bridge. Very easily access.

The Dover one is farther for me but much nicer. I would not mind driving to that one.

How about Sunday Feb. 11 or the 25?

I would suggest the Dover location. So what does everyone think?

GRIFF,The Smyrna rest area is the best around ,it's large and very clean & state care takers are there every day to keep it that way, they had a little petting zoo at one time , don't know if they do anymore. Somewhere around NJ,DEL,PA. area sounds good to me also.

The rest stop on 95 in MD near Jessup used to have a petting zoo, until the state police started discouraging that behavior. I had to stop there once for an emergency, I wouldn't recommend it. Stay out of the mens rooms and keep your doors locked. Yikes!!!

I'll get by.
I believe there IS light at the end of this tunnel.
I have been doing my taxes and some other things to keep my mind off of the other crap that does me no good to worry about. I have been compiling a list of the folks that have replied to the picnic topic and are coming. So far I have 15 people that are coming and that doesn't include others that may be tagging along in a convoy or other means.
Food being brought so far is:

Jambalaya
Deviled eggs
Crabs
Potato salad
And a picnic table

What do you think about some "Good Ol'boys"
representing the Blue Ridge Mtns of VA joining in?
Seems that most are from the North coming, so I would love to join (schedule pending), if you still have room. Also, like Wiredawg, I may be interested in camping if there happens to be some campgrounds within 30 miles or so.
