I'm sure Andrew will have better details later, but I can sum it up for you guys.
The fords out numbered the dodge guys 2 or 3 to 1.
Diesel Innovations drag powerstroke ran 14. 9, 14. 0 and then on a by run with a 5 second reaction time it pulled off a 13. 6 for the fastest time of the night.
Nowell showed up late in fine style and the first pass was 15 seconds. Tons of smoke off the line just no go. The twins spooled, the smoke cleaned up nearly completely and he cruised on down the track. The story I heard was "it was a new transmission and they didn't know how it would react, so they took off in 2nd gear and the transmission didn't like it. " ????????
On his second pass he blew an intercooler boot in the burnout box and that was all she wrote.
I left at about 11:00 or 11:30 as the pit area was thinning out and there was rumors that they were trying to get Nowell another run, so maybe there's a faster time lingering out there.
There was another powerstroke that ran 13. 9.
There was a twin turbo'd dodge there with TINY rear tires spinning horribly running 14. 2's @ 99-100 mph.
The payouts were dropped due to the poor turnout (25 trucks).
As usual it was fun getting together and meeting everyone, but the speeds weren't too impressive considering the good cold air.
