NTZ By-Pass Filtration

I found this in a WIX catalog, I'm waiting on pricing for it. they have 4 sizes and for the most part the cartriges last 20,000 miles. and they are 99. 97% at 2 micron.

Damn i just got a call back that thing is over 400 bucks, that buys alot of spin on bypass filters.

Well, $400. 00 does buy a lot of spin-on's but, the by-pass does a lot more than the spin-on esp. in keeping down the soot, which is very importand esp. if you are running syn. and going to extended drain intervals. IMHO

Filteration Soultions, Spinner II, and many others are out there. I have a Spinner II on my big truck and I'll try and post some before and after oil analysis reports sometime.

I would like to know the different options for by-pass filtration.

I'm planing on using a remote filter mount and using wix 2 mic bypass filters, Abuddy gave a catalog from where he works so i can pick my mount and filter setup and that was where i saw the NTZ stuff. I can get the filter mount for about 20 bucks and the filters are about 7 bucks I belive, then have some good hoses made up and be good to go untill i go after the fuel filter.

The Amsoil bypass is a bargain at only about $225. The Amsoil filters are rated for 30K oil change intervals. I going to stick with 15K oil changes for some added protection.

I replaced the standard issue hoses with wire braided hoses for some extra protection. My filters are mounted on the bottom of my front bumper (made by Brown Welding and Fabrication) which makes oil changes quick and easy.

I didn't go with the FS system because it used the original filter mounting location. It's much easier to do oil changes when both filters can be relocated to a place that's easier to access.
