In researching lube oil for the NV4500 (yes, I know all about the Castrol Syntorq vs. other oils issue), I keep seeing references to brass synchros. This is usually in a context of how any oil other than Castrol Syntorq will damage them.
However, Dave Fritz's page describes the synchros as being carbon fiber composite--so which is correct? Are they brass, or are they composite?
