Latest version of my 5th wheel tailgate

Gauges and pulling

I am planning a trip to FL from Upstate NY next month. I will be towing an enclosed utility trailer for a friend of mine who moved to FL last fall. My guess is that the trailer will weigh 2500-3000 pounds loaded (restored Model T stake truck and a few other things that didn't fit when he moved).

I'll be swapping my Reese WD/Dual Cam-Anitsway hitch from my TT to this trailer to ease the over-the-road feel.

I've done a bunch of PM work on my truck to get it ready but I wanted to check with you all to see if I missed anything or have any suggestions. I'll be rolling over the 100k mark on my odometer on the way home.

PM alread performed:

transmission/Transfer fluid change 22,000 miles ago (used OEM oil)

Diff. fluids changed 7000 mile ago (Amsoil 75w90)

Radiator Fluid and T-stat change last week (Fleetguard Compleat ES)

Brakes/brake fluid changed 11,000 mile ago

Still to do:

Replace original fan belt

Oil/Oil Filer/Air FIlter/Fuel FIlter change (I use Valv PB Extreme 5w40 with Fleetguard Filters)

Re-route the blow-by tube

Clean oil off radiator/engine from blow-by.

Calibrate elect FP guage with a manual guage to assure the my 12psi WOT reading is accurate.

Is there anything else?

Packed your front wheel bearings recently? On my '91 doing a lot of interstate towing have found that they need it about every 30,000-35,000 (ie, once a year). Trailer bearings good?

Drive safe.
