Most of us are quite aware of the fates of the Greeks and Romans. The causes of thier downfall are history now, and quite readily apparent to even casual observers.
I would have figured you'd have bothered to analyze both the attitudes and the reasons for the decay and destruction of those cultures. Every one collapsed from within, and all caused by a complete breakdown of morality and rule of law. And don't argue that I said that homosexuality caused thier downfall. I didn't say that. But maybe, just maybe, there are lessons to be learned and patterns to be recognized, and a little intellectual rigor would point out to us that there a whole LOT of lessons to be learned on how NOT to run a country.

I probably go even further than some on the morals issues. I can't watch the gay propaganda on the TV shows. It's nauseating to me. It's also puzzling. With all the poontang in the world, with every kind of personality to chose from including a manly woman, why would a man wan't to have sex with another man's rectom? I think the world of my friends but their hairy plumber's crack does absolutely nothing for me. Could it come from a twisted upbringing. Did the boy's mom and sisters run aroung the house naked in front of him and ruin that natural attraction to the "forbidden fruit"? Was his dad too affectionate with him as a child? I have never seen my mom naked. I've never seen my dad naked for that matter. I was taught that nudity was for a man and his wife with the acception of our doctor. My dad was in the service and I had to shower in high school but the lesson was already taught. And I'm glad I was raised by such modest parents.
I also don't wish violence on any peaceful person. Because I'm at a total loss to understand them doesn't mean I hate them. I simply want to avoid them. I had a lady friend years ago that was a hair stylist. She had several gay friends. I attended a few of thier birthday parties and dinners trying to be more tolerant of their lifestyle. They didn't try to convert me or convince me that their lifestyle was normal. I was totally safe around them. I just couldn't get the thought of them gettin' busy with each other to settle in as normal in any way. They were nice people.
I beleave that in the Bible, Jesus forgave the prostitute and told her taunters "he who has not sinned, cast the first stone" or something like that.
I can forgive their lifestyle, but I'll never understand it or feel confortable around it.

In some American Indian tribes,a Gay man was revered,even a prize catch for some warriors of the tribe. There were not many gays,but they were excepted. As far as I know it was the white man who was their downfall.
I do not think that young children should be taught about sexuality period! They will express an intrest to this soon enough. Is it normal?Not to us hetrosexuals. But I would not lay a guilt trip on anyone with a tendeancy toward that sexual direction.

Champane, in my first reply, last paragraph, I was indicating "yes". Sorry that I wasn't more direct and clear.
As I see it, I feel that I would still love the family member, but not the behavior/lifestyle. To love a child doesn't mean that I have to accept and give my blessing on whatever he/she may be doing.
I know this is an emotional subject to have on a web forum. It might even rank close to torque convertors and Amsoil and can cut a lot deeper.

I'm still waiting for the verdict whether it is a natural phenomenon or created (dropped on head, made to watch Roseanne at a tender age, etc. ). So for now I do as told and "Don't ask, Don't tell", like a good airman.
Heaven help'em if it comes out that it is created (read. . mental instability). I'll personally call legal and schedule their departure from the service (read. . fraudulent enlistment).
It's the ones who go outta their way to display their orientation who really irritate me also. I also must mention that there are those who do not wear a rainbow on their forehead (read. . openly GAY), who are great Americans.
I give them the option of scheduling their own appoinment.

What disgusts me the most about homosexuality liberalism is the way gay rights activists try to batter and label groups or organizations who stand up for family values and healthy morality. They act as though the discrimination against them is a complete rejection of their entire being when in fact the so-called "discriminators" or "bigots" are simply being choosy or selective.
Take the boy scouts and the gay troop leader. I was very pleased to see the Boy Scouts stick to their guns and end up winning their case to not allow known gays serve as troop leaders. As an organization they ought to have the right to conduct their organization in accordance to the values they believe in and uphold. But because they stick up for their values, the gay rights activists label them as "bigoted," "discriminating," etc. What these folks fail to accept or comprehend is that just because a group or organization chooses to have values and not accept a way of life, doesn't mean they are rejecting gays as people or individuals. They are not rejecting the individuals, they just choose to not embrace their way of life.
Many people and organizations do not condone the homosexual lifestyle because they feel it is not accepted biblically. Just like many people may choose to not have a troop leader that always has a cigarette in his mouth and a beer in his hand. Or cusses the bark off the trees (and no I'm not associating you cussin' Bud-drinkin' smokers with gays

Does that mean he is going to continue to doing NOTHING about the economy? Realistically his inaction on the issue is a result of needing future votes from anywhere he can get 'em.

Just because the President is a conservative republican does not mean we are being governed by a big conspiracy. There is a little thing called the system of checks and balances, whereby all the little liberal democrats can stifle all legislation put forth by the republicans, just because they are mad that their idiot is not in the oval office. If you don't like the government, vote for the person who best represents you. If he does not win, accept the fact that the majority of the people around you think he does not represent them. Plenty of people died for our right to vote, and most of the complainers in this country don't even take advantage of it.
