been an rn about 20 years. worked in inner city philadelphia many years. am sick to death of the political correctness we have thrust upon us by a basic liberal culture. yes, iknow people that are homosexual. some are quite nice in person. however, my son is a life scout working on eagle. wouldn't be real happy if a leader of his troop is gay. be nice you say!!! give the guy/gal a break! after my son or daughter is violated i'll certainly understand he was only exploring his sexuality!!!!!!!!! right!!!!!! as a parent it's my responsibility to teach what i believe is middle class values. to me that means: get an education, find a job/career you like, work hard and be responsible for his own actions, attitudes and behaviors!! lastly, quit whining and take a stand!!!!!!!!! bruce

bible was written?????????

on an earlier post something was said about wriien by man and using their own feelings. actually it was written by man. however, thats the beauty of the situation. they used their own writing styles to convey the message given them by the Holy Spirit. in as much as i was a pastor a lifetime ago i can comment on some of the issues. the greek text the new testament was written in shows(at least to me) how each writer conveyed the intended message(inspiration) using their liiterary style. paul was a scholar and he used many participial phrases(ing words). luke was aphysician and used words such as: abrasion, laceration, contusion, etc as opposed to traditional non medical terms. still however, the meaning was not his but rather that of God. bruce

Flawed

In my personal opinion(we all have them,just like certain body parts),the bible is flawed. Written by man and inerpeted by man it has ways to get out of control. Man has a nasty habit of shall we say bending an interpetation to his own adgenda. This is onr of the reasons for the number of chirstian religions out there. And if you ask anyone of the members of each,they will tell you theirs is the only true religion.



Religion has caused as much conflict in the world as it has good. I am very suprized that some new chapters have not been written for the bible. Maybe Fallwell 3:11?Oh wait, I guess there has"The book of mormon". I do have the greatest respect for some religions,however some I wouldn't give a plug nickel for.

Spirituality should be a private thing,it feels good to join with others in prayer. I would not take to word or attempt to live my life to anything interpeted and written by a man. The ten comandments yes.



It reminds me of a story. :The Chief of the Crow nation was being wooed by a Baptist and a Catholic misionary. He was called on by both many times,both men were very committed to converting the Chief as this would mean the rest of the tribe would come to thier church!The Chief finally grew tired of these missionarys always at his door. So he called them both to his house at the same time. He explained to them both that he would love to become one of the two faiths. But he was confused,which is the best. He finally said"You two are to make the decision for me. Which is the best?"The missionarys left and were still arguing for many years to come. At least the Chief had some peace.



More young men and women have been molested by church officials than by gays any day. Just look in the paper. You say "Not in my church!". You might want to take a closer look. It is a good place for pedophiles to hang out. You have to be careful with your children period!



No,I do not think little Johnny or Beth needs to know about homosexual or lesbian behaivior at five or six years old. I think it is a parents responsibility to teach their children. We teach them a lot with our actions and our beliefs. They also pick up our political,religious,sexual,beliefs and the prejudices associated with these.



Lastly I do not believe in political correctness,it does not havea place in my life. I will call a spade a spade. This has to do with predjudice and hate,which I can and will not tolerate!I was apalled by the protesters across the street from Mathew Shepards funeral and would have waded into them with a 2X4 if I would have been present!

Champane, the Bible is flawed and penned by men that let things get out of control, as stated by you. For this reason you will rely only on the Ten Commandments because they were written by God. Based on your statements, it is safe for us to assume that you have the original tablets from God. You also wrote that you would not attempt to live your live based on anything interpreted or written by man. Again, indicating that you have the original tablets from God. If you don't have the original tablets, this mean that you are living by something taken from a flawed Bible written by men. Right?



One has to be careful or the appearance of contradiction can surface.

It's a fact that Homosexuals cannot control their sexual tendencys? Where may I ask do you get these facts? Maybe you could also enlighten me on where you find that only liberals support Homosexuals? I am just about positive that there are many Homosexuals carrying Republican party cards. Usually the ones that scream anti-gay sentiment the loudest , are the ones who are afraid they might be gay. Or are.



I see ten times the deviant sexual behaivior coming from churchs and their members , than any gay community. Its a fact! I also have seen more deviant behavior and uncontrolled sexuality at my local cowboy bar on Saturday night! You can read any paper in the US at any period of time and see where another young man or woman has been molested by his preist or preacher. These animals are not Homosexuals , they are Pedophiles.
