At 165,000 miles I expected a major chore seperating the housings but using the "bolt jacking" method described in the 1st gen forums it came apart easy. Everything went back together smoothly and the exhaust system mod was a piece of cake. I had the local muffler shop make a connector 4" long that was swaged at both ends to fit the 3" pipe and it went right together. pics available of connector. The dreaded turbo lag is almost non existent near as I can tell. It drives about the same as before, maybe a slight lag. EGTs are way down now. A hard run through 4th will barely get me into 1400 where before it was 1550 easy. Boost was 30lbs before the housing change and now is 35lbs. Total time was 2 hours. Didnt have anybody to talk to, had to keep busy.
