I'm in the processing of replacing my hydro booster and master cylinder. The local auto parts store remans failed after 1.5 years not surprising. I'm having a difficult time tracking down the oem part numbers for these items.

this is why I've found for they hydro booster #5179891AC

is this the correct mc? #5179892AA

The Master Cylinder has changed numbers and you will need a couple of nuts and a bracket to make the new number work:
  • (1) 5093407AB Master Cylinder
  • (1) 5143262AA Bracket
  • (2) 5093410AA Nut
  • (1) 5179891AA Hydroboost Unit

The same part numbers for an 04.5?
Thanks

I purchased a new brake booster #05179891AB, which superseded #05179891AA and has been superseded by #05179891AC, for my 2004.5. I'm planning to reuse the original master cylinder if possible. I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out if this can be done. It looks like a spacer may be required between the master cylinder and the booster.

When I look up this booster on the OEM parts sites I see the following comments.

Part Number: 05179891AB
Supersession(s): 05093406AB; 05179891AA; 05093407AA; 05093406AA; 5179891AB

[ET0], [ET0] Up To 12-01-04-Used With Brake Booster Spacer, [WLA], From 07-27-04, From 12-02-04-Used Without Item 16, Up To 07-26-04, Up To 12-01-04-Used With Item 16.

I believe the spacer is Mopar Part No.: 5093409AA ADAPTER-BRAKE BOOSTER which has been discontinued.

I'm wondering if anyone can provide information on the spacer.

Also, if I do have to replace the master cylinder it looks like the one noted above, 5093407AB, is discontinued. I'm wondering if anyone know what master cylinder can be used. I prefer OEM.

T_Murph, How did you end up sorting out your issue?
