I agree with what dresslered said. I got a bad load of fuel from a station (you can read the details here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12655 ) and within 2 miles of leaving the station had a 2 psi restriction across the filter whereas I had none before the fillup and had a bad hesitation. I changed the fuel filter and had no restriction initially, but within 2 miles I again had a 2 psi restriction across the filter! If I hadn't have had my fuel pressure gauge on the truck and been able to compare pre and post filter pressures I would suspected a bad lift pump instead of knowing it was a bad fuel load. Being able to read pre and post filter pressures saved me a ton of debugging time and expense!

Pressures are fine for now, but keep an eye on those WOT numbers, you don't want to go much lower.

I don't think you will get higher pressure numbers but you will get better flow and maybe the WOT throttle numbers will be better.

Interesting thought though keep us posted on the numbers when you get the modified banjo fittings installed, even if you have to start a new thread.

Check this out!!

I put my fuel press guage on with only 200 miles on the clock so my numbers are still real good, but still some interesting facts.

Pressure with truck stock: idle 13 psi, 3200 rpm 11 psi, WOT loaded 9 psi.

With all mods(see sig)except JRE line kit: idle 13 psi, 3200rpm 10psi, WOT 7 psi.

I then added Ray's banjo bolts and saw NO INCREASE! Next I ordered the JRE fuel line kit. AN fittings and 3/8 braided hose from pump to filter to inj pump.

Results: idle 15 psi, 3200 rpm 12. 5 psi, WOT 10 psiOo. When I was removing the banjos I noticed that the hole in the banjo for barb was at most 3/16 in diameter:eek: So it don't matter how big the hole in the bolt is the bottle neck is the banjo itself! Don't get me wrong, Ray's is a great idea, but doesn't solve the problem. Although my psi is great, I still am adding a JRE Pusher pump kit, but I will add AN fittings and 3/8 hose from the pusher to the lift pump so as to eliminate the last banjo fitting at the lift pump. :)
