Well it look like the bed is 6'3" long, pretty short. And did you guys catch the tire size? 235/70R17E"s? That's smaller than the stock tires on the 03-05's, they have 235/80R17E's. Maybe they did that to help with bed clearance while towing a 5er.

Most don't realize that the first 15 vehicles built as a "new" design must be sent to TX for crash safety testing. Next the feds need a few for emissions testing and approval. Any perceived failures require more test vehicles! To me a dually with a short bed is a total waste. But to answer the question on why no LWB Mega Cab hang in there it's being tested.
Do you know this as fact?

How do you know this? If true, you just made my day a whole lot better. I have a SB now, and have regretted it from day one, the only reason I haven't bought a new LB is because of the mega cab. I feel if I hold out a little longer I can have my cake and eat it too. You just now dangled the cake in front of me. Long bed SRW Mega is what I want, if they build it.

I like the fender flare, a flash back to another era. I do think they have to put one out with a 8 foot bed, the fiver pullers will love it. I might even sell the ole 96, God forbid!!!!!!!

The length would not bother me, I already park in the back of the lot at Walmart.

I believe this will come along with the 4500/5500 series trucks...

My rep still says they are coming, But I have heard that for like 5 yrs now

if you are in the Dallas area in the next couple of weeks, Dodge has the mega cab dually on dispaly at the Texas State Fair. According to the newsprint I read it is the first public appearance of the mega cab dually.

That looks like aftermarket, homemade, dogs under the porch, marry yer cousin, strap the wheels on the house were movin', dull bladed sawzall crap!

What in the heck are they thinking???????

P. S. "Tommygun, I really mean dodges craption, not yours... yours is better than dodges even if it yours were duct taped on!"

I use my dually alot but dont think i will have one of those the fenders look like left overs from the 1st gens. That still needs some work and a 8ft. bed.

Tomygun

I have heard that at the Las vegas show next month that DC is

showing 35 new products, and that the 4500-5500 is in that line

do you know anything about that.

I like the front end of the 06's, think the mega cab looks like junk (too much cab in proportion to truck), and this thing is the worst looking dually I've ever seen...

Nothing 100% sure, But if so, I will faint because they have teased us for years and years about a 5500 series truck...

But I have heard anything yet

that's the dumbest looking dually I've ever seen, a 6 foot bed on a dually, yeah that's REAL SMART. "hey I can haul 3000lbs, but i've only got a 6' bed". German engineering is here and boy does it suck big fat balls. THANKS again damnnear chrysler. LAME, LAME, LAME, LAME, LAME.

Ugly fender flares. So when is dodge going to build a 4500 or 5500 series truck? :) so I can get rid of my big  ford oil leakers? or mabe I should go buy a small freightliner.

:-laf That is hilarious. Laughed so hard I cried. :-laf

Happen to LIKE 1st generation duallys! They didn't look cheesy in their era. Its JUST that THEIR fenders look a little off on a 06 in this era.

I think what happened is the design engineer, and I use that term very loosely, had a buddy that worked at a boat trailer factory, who over ordered on fenders. What a piece of garbage from a supposed professional design team? And don't whine about the truck with long bed being too long, Ford has had one out for years now. Get with it DC.

"And don't whine about the truck with long bed being too long, Ford has had one out for years now. Get with it DC. " AMEN! to that. It's already too long! I have a hard time parking my 01 quad cab in some parking lots. So what's an extra 2 feet gonna matter. HMM, something just came to mind. We do all this complaining on here about all the STUPID things Damnnear chrysler does to this truck, in English. What we need to do it translate it to German, maybe then those yahoo's over there will get it. What works in little ol' Germany, doesn't work here in the U. S. A.

If you buy a little freightliner, buy a used FL50-FL-112. The new M2's are a joke! M2, two m's= Mickey Mouse.
