From what I read yesterday Eastport may have to do the same thing. Shove the snow off of the pier. It is downright dangerous there right now and some of the 99" of snow needs to be moved somewhere. It is downhill to the bay, and as the snow melts in the spring it winds up in the water anyways......

The EPA will fine the State of Maine for Pollution of the environment watch out!!!
A retired friend of mine use to haul snow for the city of Aurora IL when we had larger amounts to move out of the way. The EPA would not allow them to dump the excess snow in the FOX River. Why it would pollute the river. It was OK to dump on the side of the banks and in the empty lot's next to the river but not directly into the river. They claim that the road debris would not run off into the river but would remain on the shore and only the melt off would flow to the river. Again book smart people doing their thing.

There looking at the salt content and the asphalt scrapings to be the contaminants. Your fresh water fish don't like salt. That is if they use salt.
