I just got back an oil analysis from Blackstone. This is the 3rd one Ive gotten from them. At least this one and the one from sprt of 2014 are on Red Line synth oil. The first one was either Red Line, or could have been Delo.
What they are calling "location averages" for aluminum is 7.
The first sample I got in 2013 was a 5.
The second one I had from last year was a 6.
This one was a 10.
First analysis was on about 3750 miles on the oil. Second sample was on aoub 4450 miles on the oil, and the last one was at about 4300 miles on the oil.
So, I guess my question is, is 10 bad ? good ? What causes the oil to have an aluminum content of 10?
Just curious.
