How can I turn the Engine over without it starting?

I plan on switching my motor over to Synthetic oil next week, and am wondering, when I put my Amsoil bypass on what should I be able (safely) to take my oil to without changing it. I only drive about 10,000 miles a year, hard miles though, stop-start, short trips, lotsa' burnouts. So could I potentially change my oil once a year or is this oushing it?? Remember Im asking for advise so dont beat me up too bad:)

I recently asked the Schaeffer Oil engineer just how long you could leave the oil in the crankcase. He said not more than a year, no matter how many miles.

You could probably do a used oil analysis at 1/2 to 3/4 of the yearly life expectancy. That should give you a pretty good idea as to whether the oil will make it for the entire year, or 10,000 miles.
