I had a John Deere 6 cyl 414 cu in irrigation engine with a water to water heat exchanger that got oil in the water. Oh that was expensive to find! Bad oil cooler! We missed it the first time around, and did a heap of other stuff before we rechecked the oil cooler. Barely would ooze under a lot of pressure. A LITTLE oil is like blood---You can take 4 oz of blood and make it look like a chain saw massacre and less than 4 oz of oil will turn everything in the radiator slick and white. If everything runs good, I would bet a Burpsi Cola it is the cooler, especially if the engine is close to stock and hasn't been run hot.
