Have the truck in my signature, 2018 3500 SRW, Asian. After towing Saturday and a bit yesterday, this morning I noticed an oil spot about 4 inches in diameter under the truck. Took it to town today and after getting home and sitting for about an hour, there's another 1 inch (so far) spot of oil. Crawled underneath and the leak appears to be at the front of the oil pan, but can't tell if it might be from the oil pan gasket or something above. Just wondering if anyone had a similar problem before I make an appointment with the dealer. It's still under Maxcare so no concerns about getting it fixed, just figured I'd try to be enlightened beforehand. Thanks for any insight.

My 2018 had to get a new front main seal under warranty. It looked like an oil pan leak at first.

My 15 front seal leaked and it was fixed including a nice rental car. Note spots on concrete.

Thanks guys, I was thinking it might be front main. Thankfully the leak isn't as bad as in the picture-yet, at least! I've only got 35k miles on it and first time I bought the Maxcare. Used it once to replace the radio and now this so might have been money well spent!

Just a quick update. Got the truck to dealer yesterday. They 'diagnosed' it as a leak
from the timing chain cover. Going to put in a new seal. We'll see if it does the trick and will report back.

Yeah I figured that’s what it was but service writer said ‘ timing chain’! Hope it’s not an indication of the service I’ll get! Lol.
