Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) oil on outside of turbo

Just noticed today that I have what appears to be old oil on the outside, back of the turbo housing, kind of around the perimeter of the back. It looks like maybe there is a press fit when then put the impeller into the housing and then the back of the housing on,and this is where it is at. Its not currently wet, but I never noticed it before. Anyone else have this? Any ideas?

Are you sure the oil is not leaking from somewhere else and blowing there?



The last time I had oil there, I lost the turbo.
