The other night looking through the 96 manual I thought I saw a port on the side of the engine for a temp. probe. Is that true or will I go in at the oil filter mount? I feel if had the temp. gauge installed I would not have lost my transmission. I'm putting 3 temp. gauges, one for the rear, transmission, and engine. Which port on the engine?
Thanks.
Preston

Preston, the one on the top of the oil filter housing is the easiest, it's 1/8" pipe thread, same as most temp senders. Rather than three gauges you might what to go with a three way switch, three senders and one gauge. You will find that your oil temps get to a certain temp and sit there, makes for pretty boring gauges.
