Part number 4089742? Cummins has it for just under $8. For some reason I remember this seal being like $50???

If you get the kit from some other vendors, they will also have extras like a DVD and whatnot.

Don't forget to get a new gasket to go between the vacuum pump and the gearcase.

Do you need to pull the vac pump to replace that seal? When I put a new p/s pump I just pull the pump off.

It has been a while since I replaced the seals in my vacuum pump, but if I remember correctly, yes you have to take the vacuum pump off because the seal is installed from the inside. Also, when you can reinstall the vacuum pump/ps pump as a single unit and that will minimize the risk of "nicking" the vacuum pump seal with the sharp end of the PS unit.

Also the kits will have the o-rings and tools for doing the seal change. The seal that came in the kit I got was a double lip seal were as the original one was only a single lip seal.
