Hi Just curious where the best place to run the sending unit for an oil temp gauge would be??? Should I tee off the pressure sending unit? Any info would help. Oh by the way I have a 24 valve motor.

Ideas I used to measure fuel temperature to the VP44.

To measure fluid temp you want to make sure where you are measuring there is a good flow of the fluid so you get an accurate reading.

Next consideration is you do not block the fluid flow with the temperature sensor, ie you get the correct length of temp sensor to fit your particular mounting setup so the sensor is getting a good reading without blocking it.

If you are adding a temp gauge for the motor oil, the most common place is in the oil pan sump, on one side or the other, not in the bottom of the pan.

I put mine in the top of the oil filter housing. There's a plug right next to the turbo's oil feed line that just happens to be oil-temp-sender-sized.
