Just wondered thoughts on the lab results. Blackstone seems to feel all is good, just wondering what you guys think. Seemed crazy to me that the transmission fluid needed changed at 30K, but I followed the manual. Although I changed the filter as well and while I had it apart I added the PML pan.

trans looks good, but the oil something seems off, high iron, hi potassium, the higher values might just be the newer engine breaking in. what oil? tbn seems low for only 8500 miles.
all i all not bad i don't think.

It looks fine. I have not used Blackstone but it appears that the universal averages include all brands of 5w-40 not just Rotella T6. The reason I say that is the calcium and magnesium are not at all close to what they should be. I don't think I have an old sample around for T6 so I can see what the potassium is for the oil out of the bottle.

I specifically did not post the comments as I wanted to hear what everybody had to say about the test results. The comments are consistent with what everybody has noted. They did not allude to a possible coolant leak, but did recommend to use the same interval the next oil change. I think I will send a sample of fresh oil in, so I have something to compare to in the future. Analyzing results is about the data, not the comments.

Appears the virgin T6 oil in your provided link has a very different additive package than what was listed for T6 in issue 57 of TDR.

Tanker865, I see no reason to be alarmed on only 1 OA, OA need to establish trends, You should NEVER condemn the engine on 1 OA sample, Unless its like 500PPM something. I so no need to do 4/6 K miles Sampling Unless again something is extremely High. which I did NOT see in YOUR OA. 8/10K miles is good enough.
