I have a stock 2004. 5 truck with a juice and exhaust system. What do I need to do to upgrade my horsepower. I have allready commited to a stage 5 autotrans and I own the 3500 q-cab 4x4 with the stock rear antislip.
Let's go to school I want 500 horsepower to be available if needed.
I second that, the juice will never get you there, I witnessed a 04. 5 w/ a juice and an EZ, and he hit like 400. 5hp - Not quite awesome, But still respectful -- BUT nowhere near 500hp mark
Or you can check with Edge in getting the Hjat (hot juice with attitude) higher HP programing.
If you want to stay simple (single turbo) a B1-04 will be a nice bolt in, a little bit more would be a turbo from HTT, either the sledpuller 66 or killer 64. These turbos are rated at 500 HP but they are at their limits at that mark, If you want more then go twins. But most people will say that at 500 HP twins are overkill.
There are injectors for third gens and Don is making some that are very keewall He' can't come close to demad for them though.
A good single and TST will get near 500 on fuel. I watched Lenny from Dyno-Mite Diesel do 617 on fuel with a tweeked "sledpuller 66" on his 12 valve. He did 817 with the same truck on the bottle. There's power to be had in drugs too.
What turbo does the HTB2 start out as? And how is it compared to an HX40. I'm going to run Scheids twins with an HX40 on the top. If the HTB2 is the same or close then I'll just use it as the top. But we need to know if the size and shape are the same or close.
