Competition What happened to the 3 Turbos Truck Post???

Ok I am getting crazy or something, and 75% serious. Say a guy pulled out 20 large to put into a motor. Based on my truck sig how much power could I get with 20k into it?? What would you do? Labor and all... ... ...

careful now

Hey neighbor,

I guess since your're gettin' that Benz for a daily driver, the truck gets a little more attention huh?

Careful what ya wish for, especially since your're a little more down to earth now:D .

Call me sometime since it's not long distance,

If I was going to put "20 large" into a motor.

There would only be 2 places I would call, one is in Indiana, the other in Ohio.

Ahem, in all seriousness now so we dont get this thread pulled. How much power can I get for 20k???????

Labor included,

I think you could expect; modified vp-44, cam, head work, bigger injectors, timing box, custom twins, bigger pusher pump.

If you could pull and install the motor yourself, I would expect all the above plus; fly cut pistons, block girdle, refreshed crank and all bearings, bigger injector lines and tubes.

Just my guess (wishlist)

Better yet, how much to cram an 8. 3 with some mild tuning done?

Carefull now... ... ... DTT is in British Columbia too:D ..... or are we just talking engine performance?;)

I was at the little shop in Thorneville last year and I saw a bill for someone( i will not say who it was ) who owed about 20 grand, all I can say is that you would not be dissappointed. The bill had some other work like traction bars and stacks and some other non- motor related stuff on it too. He beat me pretty badly all year

I don't think you should have over 12 grand in your motor. All said and done i have around that in mine, for everything to make it run, thats even including 1500 for injectors. Just try to do as much work as you can yourself. I'm lucky my buddy owns a garage and lets me keep my truck there and have full use of his equipment. If i had to pay $60 an hour for labor it may be a different ballgame, but then i'd never started the project if i couldn't do it myself. You should be able to make at least 800hp to the ground.
