C. forget that the eccentric is threaded. The steel bracket itself should have a nut welded on the backside of the bracket. You should have a matching bolt. I'm sorry but I can't recall off hand what the bolt size is (I'm at home) but I believe it's 7/16 fine thread. Anyhow, you have to remove the black pulley, insert the bolt into the eccentrics hole (bolt is smaller than threaded portion), re-install the pulley, then thread the bolt into the bracket. You snug the bolt just enough to pivot the eccentric and tighten the belt. As you hold the eccentric with a wrench, tighten the bolt.

If everything was packed correctly, you should have the right hardware. If not, call the shop and tell Robert (I'll be out of town) what you're missing and I'll have him ship it right out. :)

Kilby, Thanks for the quick response.

I have the bolt in backwards. I thought I was following the instructions. They aren't the best, just a diagram. I will try it first thing tomorrow morning.

I am happy with this kit. You really should put something together for 12v engine. I am sure many of owners would be interested.

Thanks again

Oh! You know what? I bet you got the wrong diagram. The very early diagrams showed the bolt pointing towards the front of the engine instead of rearward and I bet that's the confusion. Sorry! I thought we tossed all those out already.

To be honest, I can't wait to get the 12V trucks covered. I've got an idea how I want to do them. I just need the time and truck to do the work. :D

Gsevison, I would venture to say that the mileage decrease is absolutely 0. When the compressor is not running, all you are turning is the pulley itself. Once air pressure drops, then the clutch engages and you drive the compressor. So unless your compressor was driving all the time, you shouldn't see any change in mileage. By the way, dont check one out unless you are prepared to scrap your old system and go with one. It just works too well. I can fill my 33x12. 5x16. 5s from 20 to 55 psi in just a few minutes each. Just as quickly as i can do it with my home compressor as a matter of fact. With the high idler on i run impact wrenches and even small air grinders off of my system.

Cool!

Ok, I am sold, we are puttin' this on the list of stuff to buy and mount. Thanks for the detailed reply.
