Measure from the axle flange to transmission dust cover or 4x4 TC dust cover, I know most of the Part#s for AT 4x4 QC/LB and some of the manuals.

Great idea Twest a list of lengths and then a corresponding list of part numbers matching the lengths. What could be easier. I would measure mine but we just got 18 inches of snow.

I also have a ton of snow, not crawling under the truck at this moment to get a measurement.



TWest - do you already have some measurements and coresponding part numbers? That list would probably be VERY helpful as is, and those that are not listed together could be filled in by people who could get some measurements.



I am assuming that the early G-56's and the later G56's, even though their gear rations are different, the transmission case would be the same?? So, 2005. 5's through 2008's would take the same shaft. There was comments that the QC's with 8'beds and the MC's end up being the same also. It would be nice to know the similarities and differences of our trucks, good for cross-references.

I looked into a one piece and was told by more then one place that because of the size of my loads, my truck tows over 90%of the time and I have a manual trans that I should stay with a two piece. You might talk to this outfit they sound very honest. They make a nice looking one piece aluminum out of 1/8" instead of 90thousands.

1piece 5x.125 aluminum drive shaft

Just ordered my 1 piece aluminum driveshaft from driveshaft specialists in Texas. 1480 spicer series trans spline and flange, 5"x. 125 tube. not cheap but as they say u get what u pay for... . should be here In Cali. By Friday next week, can't wait to feel the difference... .
