I need a fuel cutoff solenoid. Dealer said he could make me a deal on one for $400+. Wow!

What are the good online places to buy these kind of things? Or is this the best price I'm going to get?

I might suggest that you use the search button to find out more about the fuel shutoff. It is usually a bad relay or bad connection causing problems here, seldom the solenoid itself. The search button should get you plenty of info. Also I believe the Cummins dealer generally has better prices on this.

enimmo, I agree with Larry that the solenoid isn't your problem. It's one of the dealer's and backyard mechanic's favorite expensive parts to throw at a different problem. The problem is usually poor connections, bad relay or starter contacts, all way under even Pier's price for a new solenoid.
