FASS F.A.S.S. filters and now a heater!

Anyone know of an online source for filters for the FASS (like a discount place)??

I have did a couple searches and came up empty... most places don't even list the Fleetguard HF6604 or HF6607 filters.

So where do you guys get your filters from??

Thanks,

The NAPA 1274 filter is only a 10 micron filter... I was trying to get a little better than that... The NAPA 1202 is said to be a 2 micron filter, but I haven't seen anything definate. I was going for the Fleetguard (known micron size). . somewhere online I could order them...

You can probably order direct from Fleetguard. They show the numbers to be good, don't know the price though.

Napa 1202 is a 5 micron!

You got proof!? :D Someone else claimed it was 2 micron! :-laf

I got a line on a very local FleetGuard dealer... I'm waiting to hear back from them... hold the phone... they would need to order them at $75 and $70 respectively!!!! :--)

WOW, I didn't realize they were that expensive... guess I'll call the place I bought the FASS from and see how much they are direct. And call the local diesel places...

Here is a WIX 2 micron filter. Don't forget the words "cheap and inexpensive" are very different. Sorry, the ex-car salesman in me jumped out!

Thanks, WIX551724 is not a 2 micron filter though... I already checked it out. I believe they told me it was a 10 micron filter. Will need to inquire again.

I use Baldwin BT372-MPG, 5 micron. $19. 21.

http://www.adiesel.com

According to the Wix filter interchange the Baldwin BT372-MPG converts to a Wix 51724 (or NAPA 1724) which is a 10 micron filter. A Baldwin BT372-10 converts to a Wix 51202 (NAPA 1202) which is a 5 micron filter. Here is the Wix convertion page for the BT372 filters.

According to Baldwin themselves. Quote.

Thank you for your e-mail. The BT372-MPG is a nominal 5 micron filter. You should have no problem using it on your diesel fuel application.

If I may be of further assistance, please let me know.

Thanks... still waiting to get my FASS... should be this week.

I am up in the air yet... still need to contact LIPD about filters... it was a $30 "upgrade" for the 3 micron filter.

Most of the filter places couldn't answer my questions about filtering capability... I must have gotten all the rejects :D

There seems to be a lot of debate over what the "stock" filter is... from fleetguard they seem to be 10 micron, but I read that the "dodge" version is 2 micron... I was trying to stay as small as I could since there seems to be a general consensus that particles smaller than 5 micron are what are causing the problem with the CP3.

I just got my FASS tonight... for those of you that have one... did the 95/150 unit come marked as a "150"??? I got mine and it has "150", not "95/150" on it. I have a email into the place I bought it from... they also sent me the wrong filter!
