Trophy Truck,

I highly recomend checking those bolts every now and again. I just had to replace my flexplate and converter because 3 of the 6 bolts backed out and beat every thing to death.

Went ahead and ordered the "heavy duty" flexplate an extra $350. Dave recommended it as my truck has 344K on it and we plow the hell out of snow... . should be tues when it arrives.

Dave's work is great, my truck has been great since I had him do a trans for me. the biggest thing for anyone buying a trans from him is be honest on what you have and have planned so he can build it exactly the way you need it.

I bought a transmission from Goerend Brothers for my 95 12-valve. It was a great deal and my dad and I installed it ourselves. Loved that transmission! Unfortunately, that truck got wrecked 6 months later when someone pulled out in front of me. My current 03 Ram has a 6 speed.

We just yesterday got our new Goerend trans in . We did it in the garage and the only problem was the coolant fitting on the front got a little crossthreaded. I cleaned threads with dremel tool and it went then . Iv`e only run empty but so far it looks like we are gonna like this setup much better than stock. It gains speed so much quicker now,but with stock engine 345K its still a little doggy.

Returned trans jack to neighbors place . lots of hills and now I can feel a major difference in pulling power to the tires. Shifts quick and crisp, also it just spins so much less I even noticed the truck was running cooler on temp ga. Wide open line pressure was right at 175 PSI where Dave wanted it. At idle its just under 100 PSI. Now its clean up garage time and catch up on chores. Once again , thank those who posted and shared their experiance with Goerend.

Glad you got it installed and are happy with it. I bet its night and day difference once you hook up a trailer.

Back after record blizzard plowing snow 29 hrs. Heck of a way to break in a new transmission but was night and day difference pushing huge piles. I frequently checked my fluid level at idle . Home now rested we hooked up the gooseneck and hauler loader BH in town for the day and yes it is night and day. I like it its like we have a different truck now. When you put it in gear it is ready to pull stumps.

Since Goerend did my trans a few years back, I've always said that if I had to get another Dodge with an automatic, even if it was working fine, I would drive it straight to Dave's and have him re-do it. It's just a completely different truck. . the way it SHOULD feel!!
