Here I am

OUCH!! Does a wasp leave its stinger in you like a bee does?

"Happy Father's Day"

A siding guy once told me that wasps don't leave the nest while it's raining. It was raining that day, and he picked one off the house, threw it to the ground and stomped it. I didn't see any wasps, and I don't know if it was an active hive. I don't dare try it myself :)

What do wasps live in? A hive? A nest? A hut?

I'm finally getting back to this thread! The malithion in a utility spray bottle does real good! I've got motor cleaner in a spray can that works great too - shoots like the wasp killer stuff. Bill, these guys are totally black, face and all. They just arrived at my front porch this weekend. Tom, the Epipen is a darn good idea - I had one for my daughter when she was young and had terrible allergies, asthma and excercise induced hives. I've developed asthma the last few years and I'm still trying to figure out what sets it off - mostly allergies but climbing a ladder once gave me an immediate bad asthma attack - the lights nearly went out that time before I could get air again! Funny thing, how all at once something like that can get ya'. I've also been in ER getting epi shots for an unidentified allergic reaction that turned me bright red but my breathing was fine that time. I think I better get prepared for the big one! Craig
