Wanted to let all know... . Been finding alot of fan clutches that are not "calibrated" from there factories. If that fan isn't roaring halfway between 190 and that first white line the fan is not working as it should. Which effects that auto trans also. That little round Bi metallic "spring" on the front of the fan clutch only moves a small amount (Between what the clutch fan thinks is cold and hot) anyway you can take the "Tail" of the spring and preload the spring as to have the fan engage sooner. Thinkin that the bi metal starts to get out of wack in time. I have had to do this tweek on brand new units Had a new one turn on at 260 on a gas engine tweaked it and now works perfect every time at 220 or so... ... ... .
