The cost will eat you up. Look at the cost then see how many miles and years you will need to brake even!
 
Every Dodge built since the early '90s has an overdrive ratio, manual and automatic both.

The aftermarket overdrive units available probably lack the torque handling capability to provide long service between a Cummins engine and a heavy trailer.

Reducing engine rpm at a given road speed with a Cummins engine actually offers very little fuel economy gain. You can read wild claims on the website but the truth is a modern truck with six speed automatic and 3. 73 gears or even 3. 42 gears will provide perhaps one mile per gallon advantage over 4. 10 gears and even that is doubtful.

Reducing road speed has a greater effect on fuel economy than gearing.
