2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Overpressure cutout switch in 2001 RAM 2500 A/C system

Does the A/C system have a high/over pressure cutout switch to turn off the compressor if the high pressure goes too high? or does it have only a "Blow off" valve to let high pressure refrigerant escape? I am pretty sure the system has a low pressure cut out switch because if there is not enough refrigerant in the system the compressor will not run.

Yes, it is located in the discharge line near the compressor. Cuts out at about 450 and closes around 350. bg
