Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) OverSize Injection Lines

What do you think of oversize injector lines and tubes? Im putting a HRVP in place of my dead pump. Three of my lines at the head are pitted bad.

I think you are asking this in the wrong forum or maybe the wrong website, but anyway it all depends on what you want to do with your truck. I know on some of the monster VP44's you are required to change the lines. I think I would contact the maker of your new pump and see what they say. I have seen lots of sets for sale or trade on CompD in the past. Most of the guys running bigger lines have them on purpose built trucks for drag racing or sled pulling.

On a side note, you going to tap the wire on your new pump?

I ordered a set of lines and tubes from Sheid Diesel. I'll report back next week. I've herd that idle could be a little shakey, we'll see.

just dont get stainless they crack easily

If the lines are bigger than . 084, I doubt your truck will idle well

I went with . 093 lines and tubes. Idle is like a big block gasser with a full race cam and very grabby starting out. Its hard to drive and I would not recommend for daily driver.



I spoke with folks at Sheid Diesel and they sent me a new set of stock . 078 tubes, They even said they will give me full refund for the . 093 tubes that I installed.

I plan on changing back to stock tubes tomorrow. Will let you know how this combo works
