Got my Mag-Hytec diff cover installed Friday. It's a little bigger (think Jennifer!) than the stock, pressed sheetsteel pan. My big ol' spare tire was going to rub the surface of the cover, so they tossed (NOT!

) it up in the bed, and I rassled around with it yesterday afternoon, trying to stow the tire in the stock location w/out it contacting the aluminum.
used a short piece of chain wrapped around the receiver hitch, and a ratchet-hoist (a cargo strap would probably do just as well) to drag the tire backwards while winching it up with the little windlass. yeilded about an inch or two of clearance between the diff and the tire. I'll probably get more creative with turnbuckles, and a net made of chain in the future. I don't really know (even after 16 months) how much to trust the winch to hold up such a heavy tire (120 lb), especially when the stress is not just vertical anymore... so far, it's tidy, and hasn't done anything to void my MH warranty.
Looks good under there, too

Got the Amsoil 85-140 in it, so, I'm good til doomsday, I guess... got amsoil now from the flexplate back. the only place where not is the crankcase (Delo 400 every 3k) and the front diff (original grease from Dana in there, until MH does the upside-down dana 60 cover... not holding breath)----
Awaiting reviews of the new MH double-deep transmission pan before i decide "original" or "extra juicy"..... rm
