Hi guys. Happy new year. I just got done with a p-pump conversion on my 91 dodge. Yesterday morning i got the fuel system primed and the truck started. After letting the truck idle for about a half hour I decided to take it out for a spin. i got about a mile out and the truck died with a noticable cloud of blue smoke... #@$%! Now what? The first thing that I check was to make sure that the fuel shutoff solenoid was still working and it is. I also checked to make sure that I was still getting fuel. I cracked all of the injector lines and the pump is still pump fuel to each injector. Does anyone have any ideas? Could my timing gear have slipped? Any ideas would be great! Thanks

sure sounds like timing could be a strong possibility! How is it timed? if its stock bring the engine up to TDC and look into the Timing pin housing to see if the blade is visible. if advanced with a dial indicator you will have to use that again to check.

Let us know if you need any more detailed help or if that doesnt work

Thank you! I will double check the timing when I can borrow the timing kit again. The pump was set to 14. 5 degrees advance. I will let you know what happens.

14. 5 you should still be able to see the blade in the housing it wont be centered, but if your engine is at tdc and you can see the blade, the truck will run!
