I just got confirmation on another forum from a member who has a '94 and a '97. They both work the same. Relay on the firewall, #9 fuse powers the hold circuit.

Update: I ordered, received, and installed the new shutoff solenoid and relay. I haven't gotten to the fusible link, and diode yet, but I will. I will be saving the additional relay that I bought, along with the solenoid I took off the truck for down the road.
The truck starts, shuts off, and restarts just like dodge intended. I am so thankful to have my workhorse back!
I'll be making an official thread of the process of upgrading the truck, as it is mostly stock. I'll be taking it a far as 600+hp for the foreseeable future. I don't know yet if I'll take it further than that.
One idea I have, is to do a conversion to 4x4 if that is even a possibility. My cousin has a 97 4x4 with the magnum(I think) v8, and I have a feeling he'd be willing to part with it. So if I had a donor truck for all the 4x4 parts, how hard would it be? The thing that's sticking out in my head would be the computer itself in the 97, which controls the shift timing, would have to be flashed with a diesel setup... let me know your thoughts.

Again, thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction! I've never messed with diesel and was getting frustrated.

Is your cousin’s 4x4 a 2500 or 3500? You’d be better off buying or trading for a 4x4. The frame and suspension on a 1500 is different from the 2500.

His truck is only a 1500...
I was more wondering if I could take the 97 trans and transfer case, and put it in my 94... I know I'd still have to get Dana 80 front axles, new steering knuckles, and more.
The 94 is priceless in CA because it's smog exempt, that's why I was hoping to make it the 4x4.

Glad to hear it worked out!
600hp on a 12 valve is easily obtainable. Plenty of recipes for that range. I was at 618 at one point with mine back when my wallet had a lot more disposable income haha!
