Last week I installed my AirDog FP150. Afterwards I had to drive home, about 15 miles. Half way home I felt a change in power. It was instant, but is now constantly that way. It drives totally normal, just a lot less power.
It wont smoke at all either (It normally should roll coal). I've heard people say 'limp mode' and thats what this feels like. My check engine light came on, but I cant remember if that was right when I first started it after installing the AirDog or if it came on when driving home, but I think it was at the first start.
Again, the only code the dash shows is the P1693, but I realize I need a diagnostics tool to really know whats going on.
I have two additional things to add:
1. the turbo was not working for the last couple weeks but I fixed that today (boost canister plunger rod came disconnected from the waste gate arm due to the snap ring falling off). I've got better boost now, but still no power.
2. the truck wont start unless I get the airdog to run by tapping the starter first so that I have pressure (20lbs). This is likly a completly different issue but its annoying.
So i'm gonna hook it up to the OBDII reader tomorrow but I want to see if anyone has ideas.
(my VP44 has less then 10,000 miles on it, although I hear that means nothing)
Oo. (the girlfriend really wanted me to add the green jumping guy)
