Has anyone out there done a p-pump conversion on a 24 valve motor and compared hp to electronic pump. Ihave an 02 ho motor with a 325cc PDR pump and 275 injectors. I seem to be rather low on hp. With a Dodgezilla and 14cm housing I am making about 370 hp with the camplate a little past 1/2 way forward. If I move it more forward it makes more smoke and egt but not much more hp. Boost goes to about 42lbs(easily). Then it just kinda goes flat. I'm installing an 02 intercooler to see if it helps. I'll know tomorrow. I see guys with the electronic pumps going to 500hp with this turbo. Are the electronic pumps that much better? I went this way for reliability but 100 hp seems like a steep price to pay. .

I would say your problem is your injectors. You are not going to find anyone with 275's in the 500 HP range. BTW, just reading your sig. :)

Now RonA you are not doing this to beat us ve pump first geners at Piers in July are you? I sure hope the Pastor gives you some sort of penalty for too many valves, dana80, and a 5600 6speed transmission. LOL Just giving you a bad time.

Ron are you asking for 500 hp with 1200 degree temps pulling? We have talked about this and your only way to have it all is with twins! Why dont you just call pdr and order a set and be done with it.

I'd say your turbo is too small and so are the injectors. A HX-40/Jammer sized turbo will support up to 500rwhp without much problem, and a set of larger injectors should get you there. No real need to go through the expense of twins.

I really dont think a hx40 will control your egts for what your wanting to do. Did you find that your cam helped spool up and low end drivability {smoothness}?

Keith,

As you may have noticed. I deleted all the posts I could. I do not like the way you insinuate that my choice of parts supplier is wrong because it is not DD. I could see where it was going. I do not like to argue online or any where else. My lack of experience is the only thing wrong with my truck.

I insinuated nothing in my posts. I feel sorry for guys like you that throw parts and money at trucks that you are told will work and then they don't.

About your revving problem, that's likely something in the pump (or something that isn't in the pump). I'd be going back to who provided the pump to find out why it won't rev.
