My good friends grandson recently purchased a 95 2500 and was taken advantage of. I am helping him through his problem purchase and quite frankly I am stumped.
Problem: No Start
Overview: The truck has about 300K miles, the top of the pump has been into, and the previous owner removed the fuel control soleniod, all associated hardware and installed a manual kill switch that pulls the fuel shutoff arm on the p7100 via an in cab cable. The truck was reported to run fine before the last shutdown and has not ran since.
Data: I started working on the truck and was not able to prime the system due to a bad primer on the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and was able to prime the system. I also had to replace the 90 degree fuel hose that connects the fuel heater to the pump due to excessive cracks. I checked the hoses to and from the fuel tank. They have been previously replaced and appear good. I went ahead and tightened up the bolt on the bottom of the fuel heater. We can get fuel to the p7100 but for the likes of me I cannot get any fuel to the injectors. I have tried moving the fuel shutoff on the side of the p7100 while turning over the engine and there is simply no fuel going to the injectors. We can take off the injector lines from the pump and turn the engine over and just nothing.
Solutions: Anyone?
