Pacbrake and GDP secondary fuel filter mount

This is from the installation manual of a EB kit designed for use with existing onboard air, such as a compressor for use with air bags/springs, or simply for servicing tires, etc.

Pacbrake PRXB exhaust brakes require a minimum of 100PSI to fully close the butterfly valve, ensure your pressure switch will maintain pressure above 100PSI.

I had a manual then which stated a certain number I shouldn't exceed, so I put the 100psi regulator right in front of the air valve, works perfect.
I've no idea why Pac went away with that information, from the posted manual you could run it at 300psi or whatever you like.
Weird.

My Pacbrake stuck on several times right after installation.
I added a 100 psi regulator and it’s been fine since.
It seems like it’s the solenoid, not the butterfly/air cylinder.

It also takes longer to vent the cylinder through the 1/4" hose with 150psi.

PacBrake used to show an optional cylinder vent that mounted on the cylinder port. The moment pressure dropped below some preset point, the vent would open directly to atmosphere to dump the pressure rapidly. I cannot find it in their website after much looking, so its either been eliminated or is well hidden. (possibly p/n C10559) There are many quick exhaust valves on the market, and Roadmaster uses them for some of their air operated toad braking systems.

The tubing on mine runs from the air cylinder on the right side, up and thru the firewall conduit with the wire harness to the drivers side and then forward to the solenoid valve on the front of the air compressor. Between 6 and 8 feet of tubing. It releases extremely fast. I'm sure however, there are situations where the cylinder is slow to return due to poor air venting.

CORRECTION In my previous post or pics I described the Delphi/Aptiva connectors incorrectly. They are Metri Pack 280 connectors. I believe I misspelled Metri Pack and called them 180 when they are actually 280. Hope I didn't mess anyone up with this misinformation
