Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone is running or knows if this will work at all togther. I was wondering if a Pacbrake PRXB/Max Flow and a Gear Vendors under/over drive can work togther at all. I am planning on putting them in, in the future (If it will work together) plus to also change my stock auto trans to a Goerend Trans. This is stuff wont be done for awhile need to save up some money for all this stuff plus other things also.

Thanks for any info,

Anthony

when i talked to GV a few years ago, they did not recommend an exhaust brake with their unit. you may want to call them and verify though

GV is based here in El Cajon, I spoke with a rep at the Goodguys car show in Del Mar a couple of years ago. He said that in direct drive, it was okay, but in the under/over mode it was not. Your best bet is to call them to be sure. also, there is the US Gear overdrive unit as well. I don't have either one and don't know which one is better.

GV and EB work together ok in direct. Don't even try to use the EB when the GV is engaged. I have my selector switch wired so when the GV is engaged it disables the EB relay so both cannot be on at the same time.

US gear is no longer in business also.

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking of putting a switch in the was a ON(EB)-OFF-ON(GV) that way things would work and would kill each other or the trans also with lights that show what is turn on. I think it is pretty much like what hsmith said.

Simpler to use the GV selector switch for this. It has an extra terminal that can be utilized to disable the EB relay when the GV is engaged. No chance for error this way.

Switch pulled up, GV engaged and EB cannot work.
Switch pushed down, GV disengaged and EB will work on demand.

Thats great that it is setup like that makes it alot easier to do. Thanks for the info on it. How hard was the install for the GV. They dont have the install sheets online to read up on like Pac does for the EB.

Pretty much straight forward install. Instructions easy to follow. CAREFULLY measure and remeasure for the drive line modification. I would guess around 4-6 hours, not counting down time for shaft shortening. Maybe longer for first install but I have done a few.

Can't help you there. Been too long ago. I have a hard time remembering yesterday. I do know that if you are 2wd stay with the two piece shaft.

Good luck.
