The leading edge of my 08 dually fenders have quite a few chips in the paint from "stuff" hitting the fenders as I drive down the road. Any ideas as to how best to deal this problem and prevent further chipping?
You need mudflaps or fender flares on the front fenders. I have the old style running boards with mud flaps and weights to save my dually fenders and also lower rocker panels below the doors from chips. It just seems the dodge factory paint chips eazy.
Ditto on the old style boards and mud flaps. I catch a lot of grief for being old style, but I keep mud, snow and gravel off the side of my truck. Seems to stay cleaner longer as well.
Well, I do have good mud flaps. Made them myself. No running boards. Too expensive but that would work. Has anyone used some type of a heavy spray on such as a heavy plastic material which wold prevent stones from getting to the paint?
